In November, we will be discussing:


Tomkins, S. "The Sources of Shame–Humiliation, Contempt–Disgust and Self-Contempt–Self-Disgust" (Vol. 2, Chapter 18: pp. 387-426).

Readings include not only the work of Tomkins (specifically, we are reading through the volumes of his

magnus opus Affect, Imagery, Consciousness) but of other researchers related to Affect Script theory. These

are relatively casual Zoom interactions, but participants are expected to have, at minimum, a mid-level
