Marsha Schwartz Klein, MEd

Marsha Schwartz Klein, MEd has worked since 1982 as a licensed counselor and licensed addictions counselor with a private practice in Philadelphia, PA. Ms. Klein specializes in the treatment of all types of addictions. She is a graduate of Temple University and the Family Institute of Philadelphia. Ms. Klein has been a supervisor for the Hahnemann Hospitals College of Allied Health Sciences in their Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling Program. Central to her approach to treatment for addictions is her belief that underlying each addiction is a script that causes overwhelming and unmanageable affect, and that until such a script is uncovered and rewritten, it will not be possible for the individual to manage affect. Her method of treatment, taught in several presentations for the Tomkins Institute, combines Affect and Script Psychology with traditional Twelve Step Programs to foster remarkable paths toward recovery.
