Tomkins Talk

Tomkins Institute members can take advantage of our online, e-mail based community that posts to a listserv called Tomkins Talk.  Participants can make comments, suggestions, ask questions and respond to others. It is a powerful tool for beginners as well as those more experienced in our work to stay connected, learn from one another, and share ideas about the many ways in which Affect Script Psychology enriches their lives and professions.

We strongly encourage those who are new to Affect Script Psychology to make use of Tomkins Talk because of the difficulty most people have when they first encounter its challenge to usual ways of thinking about motivation, emotion, and cognition. Members of the online community are especially sensitive to the shame we have all experienced when we first attempted to learn this new system or exposed our ignorance about it or even challenged its theories. The listserv is continuously monitored to ensure that all posts are responded to with respect.
